    Garbage & Recycling

King County has contracted with two national companies, Waste Management, Inc., and Allied Waste, to collect garbage and recycling throughout most of the county. These companies do business under several different company names depending on which area of the county they serve. The City of Seattle Public Utility provides garbage and recycling services to residents and businesses within the city of Seattle. The cities of Enumclaw and Skykomish also provide their own garbage collection.
