    Algona

    Algona is located in the south of King County, close to the Pierce County border. Incorporated in 1955, the city has a total land area of 837 acres. Algona features a noted wetland, home to herons and other wildlife.

    Algona was incorporated in 1955 with a total land area of 837 acres. Algona grew in both population and businesses in the 1980s with the establishment of the Algona Economic Development Corporation, responsible for obtaining tax-exempt financing for businesses that create environmentally clean industries. In addition, about 90 acres of the 400 acre Business Park in Auburn is located in Algona. Algona also features a noted wetland, which is the home to herons and other wildlife.
